Johanan, born and raised in Canada began painting at an early age. He won prestigious children's art award at the age of eight, encouraging himto continue a visual arts career. He began performing on stage at the age of twelve and has subsequently participated in many theatre productions;film television dramas and series in Israel and abroad, alongside a diversified visual arts dicipline. He has won several awards for acting ,directing and design. Many of Johanan's pieces have been commissioned works for private collections, hotels banks, governments and private institutions. View Gallery Here Marlene Ferrer, sculptress and painter, believes in the soul and the muse of Art. Her 3 dimensional works , using the Palm tree or Sabra plant, take nature to a place where it is modified to express the human spirit.In her paintings too, she uses industrial materials ,for example tar ,to maintain a closeness with the power and texture of the uncontrollable material, as if by avoiding the use of brush and oils ,she avoids convention.This expressive style is built on the very stable foundations of a Fine Arts Honours degree from the S.African University of Witwatersrand.Her constant search for the raw truth on the canvas lead her to study Art therapy as well as Gestalt Therapy. Marlene quote 'Art is a method of healing, both for the artist and the observer, I believe the energy the artist invests in a painting is later experienced in the enviroment it is positioned in.'
